Attributes API
Individual player characteristics - usernames, nicknames, profiles, and more!
What are attributes?
Attributes are any personalized aspects of a player character.
Their username, profile picture, the description on their user page - there are many subtle aspects to a player as seen in an online game.
Why would I want them?
When creating fake players, any negligence in choosing good attributes will immediately reveal them as fake.
No player won't get suspicious when a lobby of 20 people all have the same pattern for their names. Thankfully, FakeMultiplayer offers a solution.
Real life data
FakeMultiplayer does the hard work for you, collecting real player attributes from dozens of sources and organizing them into a single api endpoint for you to pull from.
New additions are constantly made and weighted, ensuring that you are always receiving relevant attributes. This leads to nicknames referencing pop culture and current events - by far the most sought after type of name, and also the most convincing.
Supported attribute types
FakeMultiplayer currently offers the following attribute types:
Usernames
The classic - unique, long-term names which players normally choose for themselves when first creating their account. They tend to have restrictions on what characters they support as well as a minimum character length.Nicknames
Casual names that players can go by for as few as a single game. Generally, nicknames are not unique (you can find lobbies where multiple players have the same nickname), and also don't have as many restrictions - they can be as short as a single character, and can have spaces!Profile Pictures
The window into a player's mind. Profile pictures are sometimes displayed on a player's icon in-game, and are often home to funny or deranged content.Bios
Player biographies are a less prominent way for players to express themselves. Usually only discoverable when navigating to the player's profile, biographies often bestow an extra bit of humanity to the viewer.Banners
Another staple feature of a player profile, banners are a way for players to persist a theme - akin to decorating a house. Matching profile pictures and banners are commonplace, and FakeMultiplayer offers a convenient way to achieve this.
